What is Philippine Sorcery?
Philippine Sorcery is a divination and magical practice that services clients in Quezon City, Makati, Taguig, and Metro Manila — part reconstruction, part living experiment in adapting effective magical traditions from the Philippines and beyond. Readings are offered by J, magician-in-residence and strategic consulting diviner, with appearances at events including PotA and Mystival.
What happens during a reading?
You arrive with a question — or just a situation you want to see more clearly. We talk so I understand what you’re actually asking, then I read using tarot or geomancy, depending on the session you booked. You’ll leave with a clear picture of where things stand and practical insight you can act on. A standard session runs 30 minutes.
Do I need to be spiritual, Filipino, or a believer for this to work?
No. You don’t need to believe in anything for a reading to be useful. If you have a question and an open mind, this is for you. Skeptics are welcome — some of the best readings happen with people who walked in doubtful.
What kinds of questions can I ask?
Nothing is off the table. Love, work, money, family, spirituality, decisions you’re weighing, situations that feel stuck or strange – no subject is too sensitive. If you’re not sure how to phrase your question, that’s fine — shaping the question is part of the reading.
Is what I share confidential?
Completely. Whatever you bring to the reading stays in the reading. Discretion is a core part of this practice, not an afterthought.
What’s the difference between a tarot reading and a geomancy reading?
Tarot reads through a spread of cards — rich in imagery, well suited to questions about people, feelings, and unfolding situations. Geomancy is an older system that reads through generated figures and a chart — precise, structured, and especially strong for yes/no questions and questions about concrete outcomes. If you’re unsure which to choose, tell me your question type when you book and I’ll recommend one.
How much does a reading cost?
A 30-minute face-to-face reading (tarot or geomancy) is ₱1,000. Pricing for events and special sessions may vary — check the Events page for details.
Where do readings happen?
Face-to-face readings are held in Quezon City, Metro Manila, and at events across the metro. Online readings are available worldwide upon request.
How do I book?
You can book here. You’ll receive a confirmation email with the details of your session once you fill out and submit the details.
Do you offer anything besides readings?
Yes! Readings are the front door, but the practice runs deeper — and some requests don’t fit neatly into a 30-minute session. Can a reading predict the future?
A reading shows you the currents: where things are heading given how they stand now, what’s working underneath the surface, and where your leverage is. The future isn’t fixed — which is exactly why a reading is useful. You’re not receiving a verdict; you’re getting a map.
